Nesting for the Application (FG)

ASCO-BR nests programmed parts at very high speed, and meets the requirements in any nesting depth ("hole in hole"). In fact, it is more than just a nesting system. Whenever there are orders related to the parts which currently have to be manufactured and therefore nested together, you can select these orders through criteria such as material, due date etc. The orders selected in this way form a (production) JOB. This is shown to you straightaway in the ControlPanel. You can consider the production job immediately or later, if you wish.

ASCO supports you in your everyday work: at any time it will indicate the current state of the work at hand. Here the "What's Up" function helps you make the right decisions. With sorting according to priority, you then see for which machines and materials there are orders and thus potential nesting jobs, and can select the desired job(s) per mouse-click.

Like all ASCO software, ASCO-BR is also made of many building blocks. From these individual components, you can put together a system to suit your particular needs.

The standard solution usually comprises the following functions:

• Entering and managing orders and material
• Creating and tracking production jobs
• Automatic nesting, interactive nesting, and the possibility of changing the technology
• Generating NC data (and, if applicable, transferring them to the machine)
• Generating work documents (and, if applicable, printing them out)

A number of additional functions support special requirements that depend partly on the technology used (i.e. machine) and partly on the integration of the system into the shop organization:

• Orders and materials are taken over from other systems; optimum calculation for batch-size oriented nesting (production of complete sets); automatic selection of the most suitable sheets from the various sheet formats available
• Automatic nesting under user control; automatic detection of residues, and nesting on any shapes of residues
• Support of multiple cutting heads; automatic repositioning; cut bridges, common cuts, microjoints, bevels, changing of lead-ins ......
• Automatic severing of the scrap skeleton; embedded version

ASCO is an open system. ASCO is fast enough to only have to perform the nesting directly before the actual production. And also fast enough to possibly try a few alternatives. In a specific manner, using criteria you select beforehand. And then optimized for the correct machine.
